Dogs stay in our family home and become part of everyday life here. The aim is to provide a calm, safe and comfortable environment where dogs can relax and feel settled while their owners are away. Because I only care for a maximum of 2 dogs at a time, each dog receives plenty of attention and time outdoors.
Next availability is now 26th October 2026

Each day starts with garden time and breakfast.
Once the dogs are kitted up ready for their walk, we head out for a 45–60 minute walk in or around Crickhowell, occasionally venturing towards Abergavenny and the surrounding countryside.

After the morning walk we return home for some quieter time. Some dogs enjoy a little extra play, while others prefer to relax. The enclosed courtyard provides a safe space for stimulation games or little scent hunts, while some dogs are quite happy to snuggle down for a nap.

During the afternoon we usually head out again for another outing onsite in the field or paddock. This is normally around 30 minutes, but I adjust things depending on the dogs staying and their energy levels that day. Afterwards dogs can potter around the cottage or courtyard again before dinner, which follows your dog’s usual routine.

Evenings are calm and relaxed, with dogs settling in the house just as they would at home. After dinner we usually spend some quiet time in the lounge while the household winds down. In the colder months many dogs are quite happy to stretch out in front of the log burner before settling down for the night.
Every dog is different, so I try to replicate your dog’s routine from home as closely as possible.
If your dog normally sleeps on the sofa or bed at home, they are welcome to do the same here. If they are used to sleeping downstairs or in a crate, that routine will be followed instead.
The aim is for every dog to feel safe, comfortable and settled during their stay.
To help your dog settle in comfortably, please include the following in their doggy bag:
✅ Collar with name tag, plus lead and harness if they have one
✅ Their usual food and treats for the duration of their stay
✅ Their bed or favourite blanket
✅ A favourite toy, if they have one
✅ Any medication they require
❌ There’s no need to pack towels, bowls or poo bags — we have plenty here.

Day care is offered as boarding availability allows. A meet and greet is essential before accepted new dogs.
Exclusive dog boarding for one dog at a time, with the option to accommodate two dogs from the same household, depending on size.
Before a first stay, we arrange a meet and greet so you and your dog can visit, meet us and have a look around.
New dogs are required to complete a free 2-hour drop-off session before their first stay can be confirmed. This helps them become familiar with the house and surroundings and ensures we are a good fit for each other.
Once the meet and greet and drop-off session have been completed and we are both happy to confirm the stay, a completed care form and a 25% deposit will be required to secure your booking.
