Doggy-Ventures started in 2024 after I realised I wanted to spend less time behind a desk and more time outdoors with my dog, Olive. Having lived in the Crickhowell and Abergavenny area all my life, I’ve spent years exploring the hills, trails and countryside around the Brecon Beacons.
These days I offer home-from-home dog boarding from my cottage near Crickhowell. Dogs stay here as part of the household and are treated much the same as Olive — plenty of attention, time outside and a relaxed environment.
If you're planning a holiday or a weekend away, I can look after well-behaved dogs in my home. There’s a secure courtyard, fenced garden and access to an adjoining exercise field. I like visiting dogs to feel comfortable and settled here, so if they’re allowed on the sofa at home, they’re very welcome to do the same here.
I keep numbers small so that the dogs staying here get plenty of time and attention, and I always arrange a meet and greet beforehand to make sure everyone is happy and it’s the right fit.

Dog Boarding
Let your dog enjoy a home-from-home experience with DoggyVentures’ dog boarding. I only take one dog at a time, or two small to medium dogs from the same household, ensuring they receive plenty of individual attention and care. Your dog will stay with me in a safe, comfortable environment, complete with an enclosed courtyard, lawn, and an adjoining exercise field for plenty of play and exploration. They’ll also enjoy regular walks in the beautiful Brecon Beacons.
Day Care
If you're out for the day or need some extra help, Doggy-Ventures also offers dog day care. Dogs spend the day here in a relaxed home environment with plenty of attention, outdoor time and company.
Day care can be a good option if your dog would benefit from some company during the day rather than being left at home. As with boarding, I keep numbers small and always arrange a meet and greet beforehand to make sure it’s a good fit.
